South African Banana Bread

Hi! As some of you may know I was born in South Africa and visited almost every second year. It fills me with pride to know I come from a place so beautiful. I was searching long time for this banana bread which I love so much. Found it, baked it, enjoyed it, baked maybe 1 million times. Here’s the recipe so that also you can enjoy the banana bread fever!

What you will need is:
  • 275g flour
  • 1 tsp. backing pouder
  • ½ tsp. sodium (bicarbonat)
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 175g butter
  • 200g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla sugar
  • 3-4 Bananas

How to proceed:

  1. Stir butter and sugar until creamy.
  2. Mix eggs and vanilla sugar to it.
  3. Then give the flour with baking pouder, (baking soda) and salt to it.
  4. Then the milk. Mix well.
  5. Crush the bananas with a fork and then mix the crushed bananas to the dough.
  6. Now fill in the batter in a well greased loaf pan and bake at 180 °C one hour.
