Turtleneck

Hi! Many of us hated this fashion piece when we were younger, because of its itchiness and tightness,  but now I understand why our parents forced us into that misery. Its the greatest invention of fashion. This sweater keeps us warm like no other and we can actually leave the house without a scarf... Here is a selective of turtlenecks which hopefully won't itch!

Prague

Hi! This week I was exploring Prague, a city that stuns with its colorful facades and all the different variations of architecture throughout the centuries. Its a city that reminded me of so many places around the world, Paris, Budapest, Lissabon, Regensburg, Kopenhagen, St. Petersburg, ... and yet it was original. The food was great, reminded me a lot of my bavarian grandmas cuisine, cheese spaetzle, dumplings, ... and then of course there was goulash. The only negative aspect I found, was that the Czech people seem unfriendly and their service can't be compared to any american standard. Even though that aspect and their sometimes incapability of speaking english, try to find places away from the tourist stream. First of all its much cheaper, but also more traditional.
All together I find it was a very interesting trip, with a lot of history and beautiful settings.

Things you must do there:

  • Well first of all the typical tourist spots:
    • Charles Bridge (Day and Night)
    • Prague Castle
    • Astronomical Clock (Only if you are there at the moment when its a full hour. Don't wait, otherwise its a joke!)
    • Old-New Synagoge
    • Clementinum
    • John Lennon Wall
    • Wenceslas Square
    • Jewish quarter
  • Black market
  • Kafka Museum
  • Taking the tram anywhere
  • Have a Trdelník as a snack (they're best without anything and roasted over fire)
  • Go into a small supermarket out of the inner city and look for specialities
  • Terezín everyone has to see

Indoor Plants

Hi! The leaves are beginning to change color and are falling of. Even if it is beautiful, don't we miss a bit of green in our lives? Instead of always dreaming of the palms on the seychelles, why not get some in our homes? Still having some green in my everyday life, makes me much happier and lets me be open to all the cold months without green. So why fight these months when you can enjoy them, right? Here I found some plants with big leaves, and which aren't Succulents, Cactuses or an Aloe Vera. I actually have an obsession with those three, since I bought myself an Aloe Vera in 2010 on Fuerteventura. So I thought I had to avoid them in this post and just do a post only for them later on.

Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree

This plant loves bright, indirect light, so place it near a window and allow the soil to dry between watering. (Important: the plant is poisonous to pets!)

Rubber Tree

The same care needed as the Fig Tree.

Fiji Palm

This plant loves warm temperatures, most are shade tolerant, some actually adore shade. Infrequent watering is recommended.

Pilea Peperomioides

Bright light or half shaded is this plant stationed and the soil needs to dry in between watering.

Monsteria Deliciosa

They need medium to bright light, but not direct sun. Keep the soil a little damp, but not swampy.

Jade Tree

This plant needs enough light and may not be overwatered.

Norfolk Pine

The pine needs a lot of water, the soil may never dry out. Also it needs good lightning.

Paris Fashion Week

Hi! Fashion Month is over... But we still have Paris... I must say, on my bucket list PFW is standing high, a dream come true. I'll maybe just go there during the time and just walk around, pretending I am some cool chick who's fashionable! Tell me, which outfit did you find most interesting, shocking, beautiful, cool, etc. of all during this month?
